I have just returned from a wonderful experience in Santorini ,Greece ,home of artistic Jewellery Designer's .
Not only a stunning vacation spot ,stunning sunset's and sumptuous food ,Fira ,the capital is home to some wonderful Boutiques selling amazing Clothes ,shoes and accessories .
I picked up quite a few on my travel's ,stunning Cuffs ,Leather wrist bands and their traditional cotton friendship bracelets ,soon i will be looking a purchasing a new wardrobe!.
I think it is so important to travel the globe in search of inspiration ,idea's and trends ,it's what makes our brand mezzola.co.uk so unique .

New Sparkle For Autumn Winter 2011

How was your Bank Holiday Weekend ?amid catching up with old friends ,drinking too much fizz and indulging in 2 desserts i was very excited to receive the start of our Autumn /Winter Collection .

As everyone was indulging in the Bank Holiday festivities ,i was gleaming with pride at all the new Jewels that had arrived at Mezzola HQ,Silver ,Gold ,feathers ,Tassel's ,Pearls with Mesh and crystal,it was like being in a sweet shop and not knowing which piece to try on first ,i forgot to mention we have just also taken delivery of some scrummy Tassel Clutch bags too,an addition to mix and match with new up coming trends.
I have uploaded 3 new images on the website today ,more will be uploaded throughout the coming weeks ,you will not be disappointed i promise!

Mezzola Muse meets Zandra Rhodes

What a delightful Monday i have had ,an interesting one that's for sure.
Heading to London for the Pure Exhibition ,i was fortunate to meet the charming Zandra Rhodes launching her new Jewellery Collection in collaboration with Adele Marie.
The press interview area was adorned with Pink Bubbles ,Cupcakes and delicious Goodies,a girlie's haven.
After presenting her favourite key pieces from her collection ,answering Q + A'S ,it was my chance to have a quick chat with her and admire that bright pink Barnett ,i love it !.
The second part of my afternoon was spent looking at new and upcoming designs ,trends for Autumn ,Feathers are a huge must for the season ,together with chain necklaces and bracelets .Skin is still strong with some amazing Python Skin adorned Clutches .

Photo Shoot and Vogue

I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend ,here at Mezzola HQ ,we are busy planning for Autumn Winter.

Creativity is on the agenda next week as we prepare our Photo Shoot for the Autumn and Winter Months,we have some amazing Collection's to tempt you with as well as a new line of Leather Hand Goods ,neat leather handbags with Zips,Studs and Feathers ...iam loving all the feathers currently on the High Street and on the designer catwalks.
Once the casting selection process has finished for the Photo Shoot ,the theming will begin ,iam thinking Boho,Chic,Classic ,i want to embelish everything Mezzola.co.uk is about ...

Our client list has such a diverse age range that i want to make sure everyone is included and can visualize our wonderful pieces on them.

That is Why we are introducing Mezzolatube ,that way you can see the jewellery been worn ,how it looks all broadcast back to you via YouTube ...hope you like It.

I believe Naomi Campell was spotted wearing Evil Eye Jewels ,Mezzola will be taking full stock of some lovely pieces ,good for keeping the bad guys away...

Good to be Back

I guess everyone deserves a break albeit sunshine or time out ,i have managed to achieve both this last week.
La Mer in Santorini ,Greece was to become my home for 9 blissful days.
Lazy days soaking up the sunshine, walking the strip in Kamari Beach and of course trying out a few cocktail's along the way(Crystal Lounge on Kamari Beach -the best cocktail's )
Santorini is more of a Honeymooner's paradise but if chillin is your speciality this could work for you too!by the way i was not on my Honeymoon either.
One thing i did have in common with Santorini is it's love of Jewellery ,Feathers.bright Turquoise ,Crystal bracelets and leather ..the list is endless ....i did indulge and brought Lot's of idea's back and purchases!.
A day spent in Oia shopping and sightseeing was breathtaking ,the views are quite spectacular ,a visit to The Red Balloon for lunch with the lovely Gaby ( Travel Writer) proved to be a memorable day ,the Baked Feta and Fava Beans come highly recommended .
Fira has amazing nightlife with wonderful Cocktail lounges with fabulous views of the sunset ,apparently no one sunset is the same,each slightly changing colour ...quite breathtaking.
I do recommend to take a sail boat and watch the Sunset on the water near Oia,it is like nothing else ...time stands still for a while.
So after all that R +R ,it is time to get cracking with Mezzola.co.uk and the Autumn ahead,i have updated the website and put on some fabulous steals ,simply look under SALE.
My trusted photographer will be happily snapping the new Autumn /Winter Collection.

A Thursday Evening on The Strand

After a busy day in Oxford working, Thursday evening saw me make my way to The West End heading towards The Strand Via Trafalgar Square to Adam Street.What a crazy city with people swarming the pavements and roads with Armfuls of Sale Bags,people gazing out of Cafe Bars ,Cyclists trying to avoid Double Decker Buses and Taxi's at high speed,what a fascinating and exciting world that we live in ....I was guest of Adam Street Private Members Club (formely the world famous Green Room ,host to Theatre and Tv) where Elect Club London (electclub.co.uk) in partnership with Fusion Escapes(Fusion Escapes.com)showed the creme of London how to party ,network and indulge and learn about luxury Travel for the discerning independant traveller,a fascinating evening i do have to admit.All i need to do now is just figure which Fusion Escape destination to pick and what to pack.. decisions..

Thursday saw me venture into another world-Camden -North London ,home of 'anything goes'.
Had a quick catch up with an Editor friend of mine over Coffee and headed to The Locks...
What i like about Camden versus Ascot ,is that you are anonymous ,you are on show but in a completely different way .
I was in a mission to buy a gift for my Nephew ,Skateboarding is his thing so the search began ,i found a cool T.Shirt...
A spot of Asian Food supported the backdrop to a wonderful view of the canal ,i love the quirky Motorbike seats you sit on whilst sampling the delights of Asian Cuisine...for a moment i thought i was in the Far East...
I have to tell you bout a unique Eco Cafe -INSPIRAL ...OMG i love it ,Gourmet Food ,Superfoods,Cocktails ,Beers ,Homemade Chocolates...chilling to the sounds of Inspiral Radio all over the Waterside ...simply stunning
A day out would not be complete without a spot of retail therapy...i love these Wedges from ALDO...Grab them before they go .

Bank Holiday In Spitalfields

Today was my day off ,i needed something to inspire my Creative Juices ,so headed off to East London to Spitalfields ,Judy's Affordable Fashion Fair was gracing the indoor Market Area ,what a feast of Fabulous Stands from Clothes ,Shoes ,Bags to old postcards ,50's Prints to Tea Cosy's .

Why are the peopleat these events so friendly ,happy and smiley ,i guess it is because they are surrounded by their passion ...makes sense.

Nikki at Vintage in Print (www.vintage inprint.co.uk)is one to watch out for,her Vintage Prints,Chanel &Van Cleefs are to die for framed and unframed ,her website should be live in a month or so.

On my way back home ,Swing Music could be heard right near Patisserie Valerie at Spitalfields ,apparently these bunch of guys are putting a Bid in for the entertainment for the Olympics ,what an inspiring way to showcase traditional British Swing ..i loved it .

My Visit to ITV -Home of Loose Women

Monday morning saw me set off for sunny Southbank to ITV HQ,home of loose Women ,This Morning etc.

On approaching the main reception ,i saw an influx of girls eagerly waiting for JLS to leave the studio,young love hey clutching single roses ...

Back at the studio i met up with Denise and the gang and went to watch the show live ,has a sneaky glimpse of Ross Kemp who is quite cute and bumped into Piers Morgan who was filming (you can feel the charisma).

Denise i have to say is looking pretty amazing ,she has lost weight ,her skin looked bright and more importantly she was wearing 'The Iceberg Choker 'from the Mezzola Collection,a stunning silver choker with large crystal pieces ,the cuff she was wearing too is part of S/S 11 and will be available to buy online next week -its called 'The Military' and is adjustable for your wrists ...

Busy Week at Mezzola HQ

This last week has been so busy at Mezzola HQ ,whilst promoting our Spectacular Christmas Collection ,i have been nipping to the theatre in my spare time ,First off to The Opera House ,Manchester to see Tina O'brien in Snow White ......Pantomine really does prepare you for the festive treats ahead ,i thoroughly enjoyed it ...mince pies and Red Wine.
On friday evening ,i had the pleasure of seeing Captain Hook at The Lowry Theatre ,Manchester ,Directed by the talented David Fleeshman ,a few suprizes ,mystery guests and a fantastic appearance by Brian Capron .

At The After Show party we were treated to Drinks ,Cottage Pie and Red Cabbage

To finish the week off Carol singing and Mulled Wine at my local Cricket Club .....
Monday has begun and iam now back packing orders for Santa and his Elves .

My Week

What a week ....apparently the moon and elements have been changing this week! i have had an eventful week to say the least ,Withington Hall ,Cheshire saw the setting for 'Tarts for Tea',a fundraising event for Ataxia (http://www.ataxia.org.uk/) a neurological disorder that effects Speech ,balance and co-ordination .
With Cakes ,Biscuits and copious cups of tea and a delightful lunch ,i was in my element eating my lunch by the infinity pool ...a real treat .
The evening was spent with my friend Dee talking shop whilst eating pasta and drinking G&T'S!. Thursday saw me off to The Midland Hotel co of By Parallel and North West Air Ambulance ,a scrumptious buffet complete with strawberry tarts!.
Thirsty Thursday's held their Monthly social in The Brasseries on The Downs in Altringham ,Cheshire ,Fizz and amazing Canapes!off in the evening for my best friends birthday meal.
Friday saw me at The Living Room ,Liverpool for The Roy Castle Charity ,good to see you Helen and Carolyn Hughes .

I do have a tight fetish ,the bolder and funkier the better !i love to wear tights with dresses ,striped ,tartan ,lace ,leopard Skin ,not a great follower of fashion just individuality .

Whilst i don't confess to have pins like Elle Mc'Pherson ,a great pair of tights provides a statement but a distraction if you feel your legs are not up to scratch .

Shoes ...why do women love shoes like their children ...because it is an expression of themselves they can be who they want to be ...escapism call it what you want ,we express out emotions through our feet.

Feeling confident ,the higher the shoes the better ,feeling not 100% a pair of wellingtons or an old pair of trainers.

Just returned from a crazy Weekend in Barca at Barcelona Fashion Week ....what a week....

After touching down at Barcelona Airport welcomed by the sunshine and vibrant influences ,i headed to my hotel 1898 located just off Las Ramblas ,the sun was shining i was happy ....

Have met some crazy and intersting people this week ,Gabriel Ibarzabal,renowned mexican visual artist and journalist ,he was covering 080 for Harpers Bazaar in Mexico ...my favourite mag ....

Sampled local food ,wine and champagne and shopped like crazy ,delighted bought myself some scholl clog suede boots ,sounds like i should be Morris dancing as i walk but hell no....

If you happen to be in Barcelona head into Promod Fashion ,high end fashion store ,ridiculously low prices .....

080 Barcelona Fashion week was awesome ,with some up and coming new talent ,nude shades and polka dots seem to be shining through once again ,iam not a huge nude fan only on the top half .......

The great thing about Europe is people watching ,i saw some superb creations worn on the streets ,people are so creative and anything goes ...i will be back...check out The Chocolate Factory at Barcelona Airport for all you chocolate lovers and Valrhona chocolate at Schipol Airport ....to die for

Bentley ,Knutsford played host to a spectacular evening with Eden Collection and David Robinson Jewellers and fashion by Apparel of Wilmslow featuring Celebrity Guests Denise Welch ,Jane Mc Donald and Christopher Biggins .
Guests sipped Champagne and ate delectable Canapes by abbey catering Denise ,Jane and i had such a hoot testing the new Bentley cars .
Denise as ever looked amazing in my Mezzola Jewellery in choker and crystal encrusted bracelet .
Do not forget to check Jane Mc' Donald out on Loose Women in the next few weeks wearing mezzola jewellery,she is such a glam puss.

Parr Street Studio's saw the location of an impressive Photo shoot by Fashion Designer Allymac ,a local girl from Liverpool.
What an amazing, talented and genuine girl,i had the pleasure of meeting Allymac at Liverpool Fashion Week where Caprice expressed great interest in her stunning jumpsuits.

Ally invited Mezzola to provide the jewellery for the shoot(all of which is available at http://www.mezzola.co.uk/ Mezzola used a mixture of bangles ,crystal ,chunky beads and pearls to create individual 'One off looks 'on AllyMac's designs ,check out the image above to get a taster of Allymac's creativity and potential .Allymac has created gowns for Celebrities, many of her creations were featured at The Soap Awards', i have a feeling it could be The Oscar's next....
